Integrated Soil Fertility Management in Fruit Crops: An Overview

چکیده
Fruit crops offer a strong sink for sequestration of atmospheric carbon dioxide, thereby, aid in moderating the impact climate change-related issues, besides creating parallel nutrient sink. Mere annual application organic manures/composts has failed to address different soil fertility functions due failure prolong pool on long-term basis. The paradigm shifts from purely inorganic either fertilizers or combination with chemical and microbial inoculants (preferably consortium mode) started gaining wide scale use enhanced health vis-à-vis elevated quality production reduced rhizosphere CO2 emmission. This change concept later formed basis Integrated Soil Fertility Management (ISFM)-based strategy involving three basic components viz., (biofertilizers), fertilizers, fertilizers. Development exploiting synergisms variety fruit as an important component ISFM is one popular methods managing multiple constraints occurring within rhizosphere. Further advancements rhizosphere-specific consortia (often by scaling up crop-microbiome) mediated could further fulfil demand supply crop. Upscaling such studies through hybridization provided some initial inroads harnessing potential communities. carried out India, Iran, China showed better agronomic response health-related properties, considered very close climate-resilient management, gateway sustainable production. review also highlights future directions catering their requirements.

Pharmaceutical Crops: An Overview
Pharmaceutical crops is an ambiguous term used by biologists and chemists for different categories of plants. This review focuses on the definition and scope of pharmaceutical crops. We define pharmaceutical crops as those cultivated species that are used for extraction or preparation of therapeutic substances such as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients used in pharmaceutical f...

In this paper, we analyze the factors that influence the productivity of maize among smallholder farmers, given that unfavourable output and input market conditions throughout the 1990s have compelled smallholder farmers into unsustainable agricultural intensification. We use farm-household survey data in order to compare the productivity of smallholder maize production under integrated (ISFM) ...
متن کاملAssessing Soil Health for Tree Fruit and Vine Crops
What is soil health? The objective of this presentation is to present information on the types of measurements of soil biological properties that might be useful as bio-indicators of soil health. First, however, it is necessary to discuss what soil health means. Scientists, farmers and land managers have long known that there is more to the productive capacity of soil than what can be predicted...
متن کاملIntegrated soil fertility management: From concept to practice in eastern DR Congo
Many paradigms on sustainable agricultural intensification adhere to a combination of different and complementary agricultural technologies. Whether such a paradigm survives in practice depends on how, and if, farmers combine these technologies on their fields. The main biophysical rationale for farmers to combine different technologies is the existence of reinforcing yield effects. But farmers...
